I imagine you can find a current battery. I'm sorry you had so many issues with your camera. I'm not trying to persuade or dissuade anyone. I honestly don't care what camera somebody else uses. Just wanted to give my experience as somebody that has also shot thousands and thousands of rolls...
I actually have been wanting to write up a mini review of my 6008af system I've had for over 3 years but haven't had time. I'll do some quick bullet points.
Likes, and I'm very happy with my purchase:
The cameras has worked flawlessly after an initial problem with a lemon 80mm Xenotar that was...
I'll throw my 2 cents in. I was having a miserable time with old cameras and old camera repair guys. A few years back the factory found enough NOS parts to put together a handful of 6008AFs and I bought one. Came new in box with a factory warranty. I don't shoot a lot, 15-20 rolls a year. The...
Has anybody used a Rollei 6xxx 220 back with 120 film? I understand it will work OK but won't know 12 is my last frame. I've heard spacing can be different? Will it overlap frames?
Thank you.

Sure. I'm an amateur now too and CLA doesn't cross my mind. I wanted to explain that I had extensive experience with Hasselblad, trading them for something else I had extensive experience with, and why I traded them. I stand by my opinion making B/W images you won't see any pertinent...
Siriusly...I used the cameras every week. Didn't need to dry fire them. Samy's is good advice for an avid amateur. Myself and every pro I know serviced them yearly.
In MHO you won't see a difference. Especially in B/W. At one point I got tired of CLAing my Hasselblad kit every year. In hindsight did I need to do it every year? Probably not. But that's what everyone did and I shot thousands and thousands of rolls through the Blads and never had a...
If you don't need the meter the 6001 can be a bargain. I bought one as a back up body sans battery (you'll need a rebuilt anyway) that looks basically new from KEH for $350.
In camaraderie, or perhaps competition with the Hasselblad v series lens with best resolution thread........
I've been shooting for 50 years and the 90mm Apo Symmar noticeably sharper than anything I've come across. When I had Blads I didn't have the 100 but had the 180 which was superb...
I bought a 6001 as a back up body for my 6008af. $350 for a pretty mint looking body. You could certainly piece together a 6001kit for a lot less $$ than Blad's are going for. While everyone seems to be nervous about electronic cameras they have a lot fewer moving parts than their mechanical...
