Just got billed for the SWC repair from ICT so I should get the camera back after about 2 months. Not bad these days.

It’s subtle but my IIIf shutter seems louder than my Model C, Model D, and Model F Barnacks. No idea why but the black/nickel cameras just seem quieter. Maybe it’s because they’re prettier…

Not sure if it's a good idea but I'm going to bring my Pentax 6x7, or as I refer to it, "The Beast." I'm not in love with the camera but it can make some pretty pictures.

I own Leica Model C, Model D, Model F, IIIc, and IIIf and I've never noticed any difference in shutter behavior between the pre- and post-war shutters other than the earlier (and IMHO much more beautiful) black/nickel Barnacks have quieter shutters. I don't doubt you're right about this since...
