Ok- in case another person has this issue, here is the flash cord needed to connect a Metz 76 M to a Hasselblad 500 series camera.
“PC Male to hot shoe” and it looks like this. Works great!

One end needs to be a PC Male (for Hasselblad camera).
The other end, for the Metz, is tiny apparently. Just an unlabeled small hole in the side. pen tip shown...

The "handle" of the flash has two similar looking sockets, one on each side. The one on the left is currently taken up/used by the Control Unit for the flash, the other side is empty (in first Photo).

I just had new batteries for my Metz flash installed and they fully charge. I seem to have lost the sync cord btw. this unit and my Hasselblad. I know the Camera end of the cord needs to be a Male PC cord, but I cannot find what i need for the Metz side? Here is what the Metz socket...
