Sold Schneider Kreuznach Xenotar MF 80mm f2.8 US ONLY - Price Drop (Again)

Thanks, I appreciate it. FYI to anyone interested: I've decided to break up the pieces of this kit on eBay (I've got an event I'm trying to raise money for and am on a bit of a clock). If a piece sells, I'll price things individually here as well. Would still love to sell it all at once though...

Misc. Craigslist Alert: Reading, PA "Massive Film Camera Collection" sale to fund community darkroom

I live in the area and have been here. Nice owner and definitely a good place to find a deal (though don't expect everything to be cheap). There's a ton of stuff. You could spend all day hunting through the boxes.

A cheap, easy way to flatten hand coated wet prints

Good to know. I appreciate all the advice given here by everyone. I definitely won't use newsprint moving forward... but I'm still quite happy with the results. :D

A cheap, easy way to flatten hand coated wet prints

I considered that (the original tip suggested using newsprint), but I figured it probably wouldn't matter when it's in contact with the print for so little time. At least in my testing, it doesn't seem to cause any problems. But I also don't think it'd be a terrible idea to replace it with...

A cheap, easy way to flatten hand coated wet prints

I found this tip mentioned in a YouTube comment (though I can't find it now) after trying a handful of other methods (including a clothing iron, etc). All you need is a couple pieces of drywall and sheets of newsprint (probably optional). EDIT: Newsprint is probably a bad idea (see comments)...

    Darkroom Portraits (Part 2)

The low-budget, alt-process "dimroom" corner of my basement. The most expensive bits (by far) were the parts that went into the UV box (the black box with the handle). The darkroom sink was $25 locally, the timer was $5 at a Goodwill, the bins are from IKEA ($3/each I think?), and the wire...

I definitely will. Thanks very much! :)
  14. A family history of photography brought me here.

I've been keeping it to cyanotypes for now since it's the easiest/cheapest and I've just been learning. I built a UV exposure box with a built-in contact "frame" (really just two pieces of 14x24in glass on top of some black foam core board and then a layer of softer foam). Exposure time is...
  15. A family history of photography brought me here.

Hello everyone! I should say right off the bat that I'm not much of a photographer. (Though I've recently been making some feeble attempts.) At this point I'd consider myself more of a beginner alt-process print maker. My interest in photographs and photography really blossomed when I inherited...
