I wish I could have a nice photograph of the whole statue, but his face was in deep shadow. He's facing straight west with a sombrero on his head - very difficult to shoot. With all the bridge components blocking the sun, you might never get a good exposure of the whole statue.

@pbromaghin you could create something interesting from the problem lighting by making multiple shots, mounting them as an up/down vertical array, not even trying to match contrast etc, not even trying to turn them into a proper panorama.

I'll bet those votive candles are lit sometimes and those flowers are refreshed...lots of photo project potential.

That one statue could become a fun project all by itself
