Youghiogheny River, Railroad Rapids.
Shawn Dougherty

Youghiogheny River, Railroad Rapids.

6x7cm silver gelatin contact print.

Made from an old and rather high railroad bridge turned into a bicycle and hiking path. The scene was almost too bright to look at, I tried to preserve some of that feeling in the print.

My girl and I camped near here for a long 4 day weekend in July, one of my favorite places in Pennsylvania.

Looks real nice Shawn, no blocked hi lights and nice mid tones, pretty place to stay a while.

The river sparkles like quicksilver - very nice! (Of course one would not like real mercury in the river...)
