No, I don't find them to be distracting.

I would say that the electrical lines are good, but since you have scanned the image already, you might try burning down the metallic objects at the lower left corner, a little - just to soften the highlights. They are needed to gvie a sense of depth, but if they were darker, they could still be there, but more harmoniously.

Is there a chance to get there when there is smoke or some other kind of light effect ? I think the 4:5 ratio might also improve the design.

My eye moves to the power lines at left and into the background and then back again. For me, this adds to the image. Superb!

I have always wanted to take a picture like this and never found the right place. This is a great subject and a bigger negative will certainly benefit the image. Regardless, I like this a lot.....imagine it in 16x20 guys.....wow....you make me green with envy....
