yup, i was trying out some lenox (sp?) from b+s ..... used on this one and the 'banks' farmhouse door neg -- seems to work best for subjects like this -- has a bit of a gritty, textured look -- a softer surface than arches or artistico et.al., and the solution soaks in pretty fast but evenly (meaning no brush stroke issues, but does look a little splotchy when dry, like a case of chicken pox) ..... it hasn't worked so good on negs with smooth-toned areas, tho, like water surfaces or skies ..... jury's still out
thanks for the feedback Rich. As a Pt/Pd novelist I'm extremely curious about various papers. So far I have tried Weston Diploma Parchment (warm, cream, kinda smooth but fragile in long wet cycle) ; Arches Plantine and COT320 (can't choose between the two yet )
