I did not develop. My friend found a stack of negatives in an old airplane hangar in New Hampshire he was cleaning out. The negatives were very dirty. I didn't think at first they would even scan. But I put them in the Epson 500 flatbed and was amazed how well they turned out. The surface was covered with grime and mold. It is the old type of film before safety film.
I don't know how to clean them. They are delicate. A touch of water on the edge of one seemed to dissolve the film. It would be great if the family of these people could see these pictures.
The film is from 1917. I imagine it was developed in 1917 and cut into singles at that time.
