Working on my Rodinal, this time with Ultrafine and Rodinal.

A lot of grain, is it from the Rodinal? I thought Ultrafine Xtreme 100 was as it's name implies, a fine grain film . . ? Odd combination, a fine grain film with a developer known for being a bit rough around the edges . . . :wink:
 
@John Galt There's a lot of grain when you view the image as html. If you view it in the site lightbox, the grain isn't quite so noticeable. And yes, I guess it's an odd combination of film and developer, but I like the results. If you've looked at my images in the Technical gallery, you'll know that I've been experimenting with Rodinal for several weeks, using several different films, dilutions, and agitation schemes. I really like the way this one came out, with a 1:50 dilution, continuous agitation the first 30 seconds, and then two agitations every five minutes. If you don't mind, try viewing the image in the Photrio lightbox and then tell me whether the grain is as noticeable. Thanks, too, for the comments in general.
