Wooden Lightning

4x5 silver contact print

I was uncomfortable with most of my negs from an Oregon trip this spring - so I put them away for a few months with the intention of revisiting them with fresh eyes and fewer expectations.

I decided to subdue the background on this and give the print contrast with the stark wood. It's a bit subtle, I did the best I could with the scan.

I was rather excited with this, hopefully I can pull a few more!

Love the pic the only thing that may make it better or it may not is removing the weeds on the left. they tend to make me want to move my eye to that rather than from the wood in the center to the ends of it. but other than that it is great.

Thanks, fellows!

Micheal, I very carefully positioned those weeds 'just so' at the edge of the frame! =) Hope you're doing well!
