Wooden bowl

I wanted to expose the texture and shadow on the bowl and then I saw the round shadow so I worked with it to creat this composition
Thanks

Simple subjects can be amazingly elegant. This reminds me of the Ansel Adams rose on a scrap of plywood.

This is very literal. Was it necessary to include the entire diameter of the bowl. We know it's round - why not reframe the image to exclude a portion of the bowl (either the top or the left), and allow the viewer to reconstruct the rest of the circular shape?

Simple and elegant, I like that. I second monophoto's suggestion of leaving something for the viewer's mind to complete.
All the best,
Daniel

A cropped image is different but no more or less elegant in my mind's eye than this...
Best regards,
James

Very nice! You have, in fact captured the texture wonderfully!
