The upstairs light is of course a W for Wonderland Ballroom, the current bar's name. However, until 2004, this was the oldest continuously operating black gay bar in DC (it opened in 1954). How the times have changed - it now caters to a multi-racial, straight-gay-bi-trans-don't-care-whatever crowd of 20something and the occasional 30-something hipsters. In its last days as the Nob Hill according to legend, it had six or eight regulars all over the age of sixty most of whom would come in, buy one beer and nurse it for the rest of the evening.

that tree has a boner and it's shape resembles the w in the window ....the edge is in the story of your words ....nice exposure ...not as easy as it seems

Long night exposures do take some practice, and even with practice, some good luck too. I never noticed that about the tree until you pointed it out, Ilya. That reminds me of this artist I knew who would make "found art" sculptures out of forks of tree branches, adding clumps of grass or moss to make them into genitalia.
