I like both compositions. This feels more complete.

Appeals to me too. I like the tree dead centre although I am sure a few will disagree. I do find myself peering through the trees to work out what that structure is in the middle?

This, for me has a nice feel to it. I like the softer trees in the distance. My eyes also, are directed to the structure in background.

I like this, very simple composition. The verticle lines of the trees and there pattern hold my attention long enough to allow my eye to wonder into the softer back ground.
