Winter Quarters at Pamplin Park in Petersburg, Virginia. During the siege of Petersburg (US Civil War), soldiers often constructed their own quarters, partially sunk into the earth, and covered with a tent fly. Photo was taken in March of 1998. This print was made in April, 1998 on 8” x 10” paper.
