Love the composition and the soft colours.

Wow, it's in colour! The warmth in the brown leaves really impacts on the overall feel of the photo, while the solidity of the tree trunk is a good counterpoint to the fragility of the leaves and the spindly sapling. Excellent work as usual Gavin and all the best for 2012!

Thanks folks - have a great new year. I'm sitting at home with a nice dram of Mortlach malt whisky, and there are logs and peat on the fire. Mmmm, bliss...!Peter - First colour film I've shot in years. I love the soft Portra colours and am underway with a personal project on highland trees. Rogie is only about 20 mins from home now - am living near Dingwall so nice and handy. Cheers,Gavin

Beautiful subtle colours and fine details. I'm now switching to using Portra for all colour work, it's very flexible.
