This is delicious and filled with mood and foreboding. I would love to see a print of this. I bet those shadows actually feel like velvet. The tilt is not something I would have done, but I think it works very well.
Can you tell us a little bit more about exposure and development? This dark room/bright window situation is something I encounter a lot. How do you handle it?
Thanks! The brightness range was extreme. To deal with it I used Divided Pyrocat MC in my Jobo. See: http://www.pyrocat-hd.com/html/TwoBathPyrocat.html I rated the Acros at 50, which is 2/3 stop lower than I normally would.
I'm not sure I agree with those comments. We see the bright elements but not the deep shadow so I cannot see any great evidence of "range". Also it is a scan. I am yet to see any image that justifies the use of bizarre, toxic developers.
