Window to the outside

I was on my way up a seemingly-nondescript parkade to get a nice vantage point on the top to photograph the downtown buildings - I never did make it to the top once I saw this scene. Used up all my film on this and the surrounding level instead!

Well done! Not an easy shot - lots of different light levels. How did you meter this?
 
@Alex Benjamin Pentax Spotmeter, aimed at the darkest areas I wanted to keep detail in as well as the brightest areas...exposure was bracketed between the two.
