Window seat

I don't know why there are windows in commercial aeroplanes - no one seems to want to put the blinds up!

There is something about the clarity of the thin, cold air. Not being a serious mountaineer, flying is the only time I will ever see it.

This is a classic image with abstract qualities. The colour, presence and composition is unique, almost out of this world (as it almost is from an altitude point of view). If this was in an art gallery, I could imagine people viewing this image for a long time, before they get how it transcends reality. A beautiful composition with exquisite colour tones.
