Window Detail

I took this the other week at a local huge stone mansion on top of a hill. It is now owned by the state and is the headquarters for a local state park.

One side wall of the mansion had ivy growing along it. The window and shutter along with the stone and ivy growing up made for a nice composition.

Superb detail and composition. I especially like the visual effect of the small vines growing like chains around the rock and shutter.

Brian,
I agree with ellisson, and the toning is perfect for the image too.

It's really interesting how the lingering growth of the ivy is echoed in the embroidered curtains. That to me makes the image. Very nice printing!
