Dan I feel that it hard to focus on the windmill because of the terrific detail captured in the fence post, which draws the eye naturally to it. I have no idea how heavy the arms are, but I think, if it was possible to move it along the fence so as to avoid a post the picture would be stronger. I do like your concept and the out of focus tower adds to the photo.

I like this composition and think that the fence post draws some attention to the background tower which I find is essential for this photograph. So my way through this image was from the windmill detail through the fence post to the background tower. It could not have been a better plan. Without the out of focus tower in the background the image might still be interesting but no more than an interesting shot of some detail. With the tower you show the abandoned part and the former use of it and that make the image complete. That is what I have to say to the composition. I also like the tonal range and the toning. Good job and thanks for sharing with us.
