A slow-ish shutter speed. There are two or three vertical vanes that rotate around the vertical shaft. Well visualized.

Spot on grahamp, 4 minutes, it was actually dark out by the time I made this exposure

The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of an industrial x-ray image. The dark ring at the top really holds it together. I would have missed this possibility, I think.
