Wildes Mannle above Vent, Austria (IR)

Disaster with 3 rolls of Rollei IR film. I bought a new filter just before the holiday that was supposed to be 720nM. Turned out it was not and no registration of any image whatsoever with the IR filter. A few frames with red filter were OK but very contrasty. Grass shows the IR effect.

Thanks Michael. It was truly spectacular but arduous hiking with 2 cameras! I like the contrast between the grassy mountainside on one side of the valley and the rocky side on the other. Using the IR film was really only playing but it does cut through maintain haze very effectively. I shot quite a lot of normal film and have enough to be printing for months in my time off. I think I will probably bore everyone with mountains......Hope to go back in September. Recorded all the hikes on GPS and covered about 60 miles over 6 days. Doesn't sound that much but does not take into account thousands of feet of ascent/descent, rocky paths or tentatively crossing snow and ice hoping not to fall through (this means testing the snow with a stick before every step, even so I still sank up to my middle a few times).
