Why The SWATSKIS?? Northeast Georgia

I was informed that this House was slated to be demolished soon. Actually it is a beautiful home, located inside the city limits of a small town in Northeast Georgia.
It was built in early 1940's by persons unknown to me. A mumber of families have lived in this house for past 35 years. Most of the rental families were prominent people in community.
As I photographed this house in late sundown on Kodachrome Film, I could not help to see the swatskis located next to steps. They were a little hard to see unless you looked. There were other Nazi Memorialia located on this house. All persons that lived there must have ignored the emblems.
I was just curious. None of my Business of course, but an oddity on such a beautiful old home.

It depends on the direction of the arms of it. If it were reversed it would be the One we know to be associated with WWII, The direction it is shows a very old pattern from quilting when it was indeed a symbol of good luck. Shows how twisted we can be.

Certainly this symbol has been used by some Bhuddist's, amongst many, many others. This iconic symbol's roots can be traced back to ancient Aryan/Indian cultures, pre-dating the arrival of Bhuddism. It's a Sanskrit word referring to life and good luck, associated with the sun, power, strength.
