I agree with you Lyn. Remove the rocks but leave the small dark area just away from the edge.

Nice job printing. For me the image lacks some overall interest. It's a little too "touristy", other than being made in B+W.
I think more exploration of the subject framing is justified. IF you had a longer lens available, I think the photo is hiding in the details and play in the shadows.
