I am newly converted to the joys of cask strength malt whisky, and still learning the tasting vocabulary. This particular malt is from Islay, I believe the distillery is Bowmore (SMWS do not identify the source on the bottles) I dilute it 1:1 adding water a little at a time. Like most Islay malts, it is powerful, peaty, seaweedy and a bit like cough syrup. But absolutely gorgeous, though best savoured in small doses!
Bill, I don't think I've yet tried Craggamore, must give it shot.
Nor, Blighty, can I recall trying anything from Arran: my education is so lacking...
