Kentmere 400 seemed to handle the bright water quite well. No halation, that I can see...

Thanks Andy for the comment, yes the sun was beating up from the water. The lens did flare a little, reduced it through burning but a bit of unevenness is still there. My hood for this lens doesn't quite fit when I use the orange filter so I was having to awkwardly hold the hood in place while I took the shot.

As I recall part of the reason for this outing was just to see how the Kentmere handled contrast filters. Seemed pretty normal in that respect.

Yes, I've worked with pretty much all contrast filters, including deep red, and normal in that regard. Kentmere films however, are known for halation. Kentmere 400 is on my favourite list, mainly for that reason. Cheers!
