Next time try with color at Konya. National Geographic Magazine printed a color version on its cover.
How Dervishes can keep whirling long time with out going sick. Trick is to look at their hand while moving. I loved Blue Mosque picture very much also.
hpulley, Yes it was dark most of the light is from a single chandelier from a high ceiling, you can see the Semazen in the foreground is moving out of it. This was probably 1/15 sec.

Ezzie, I have many film Dervish shots 35mm, MF, and Xpan, unfortunately my avatar on RFF is digital. I plan to be shooting some more soon.
Umit, I saw the Sema in Konya 8 years ago, before I got into photography and when I switched to film I pretty much settled on B&W sometime shooting color. Now that I'm printing I will stick to B&W. Thanks for the mention of the Blue Mosque photo.
