If I am right he is in the valley in the first dip on the top of the rock as you look from the right to the left. His backlegs are just before you get to the top of the second peak.
Compared with the rock surface he is slightly out of focus which further disguises him. I had expected him to be on the near surface of the rock so didn't look without making unwarranted assumptions. Kids don't do this. That's why they think laterally to use Edward de Bono's phrase.
School eventually knocks this lateral thinking out of most of them unfortunately. It did me.
Thanks I read your solution yesterday and "found" the grasshopper, I think but only because I convinced myself that what I saw was the grasshopper based on your co-ordinates.
I thought I'd give myself 24 hrs then return to it but I am no closer to really seeing it than before. It is amazingly well camouflaged.
If I relied on grasshoppers for my food, I'd be applying to the U.N. for food aid!
