Where else do you go?

In Vancouver the shelters are constantly full. When I worked at a few shelters there, we would turn away 10-30 people a day and when we try to find space for them, we find all the other shelters are full. In Canada, Vancouver is pretty much the homeless Mecca. Even though there's over twice as many people in Toronto, Vancouver boasts twice the number of homeless. This shot was taken along the waterfront, not 100m from Vancouver's Science World. The graffiti has since been painted over, but the homeless still sleep there.
