When things go wrong

I shot this with a very wide lens and the lens flare ruined half the neg. The other half, however is kind of growing on me

I like it. I think it's the foreground that makes it interesting for me. Lens flare? What lens flare?
 
The half I cut out had the flare - so this is 2 1/2 x 4 of the 4x5 neg
