Pity it was taken down. Some of the depression era post offices have wonderful murals painted under the auspices of the WPA. Many are still extant in small towns. Hare's a poor picture of one in Hartwell, GA

I lived in Hartwell for several years; the picture doesn't do the mural justice. I would hope that these post offices could be preserved in some fashion.
