Beautiful print, Marianne!

How big do you print these days?

Thats beatiful Mayfiar,In what why does the hot selenium affect the color of this litho'd print? Does it add warmth or cool down the print?

Mike c.

glad you like it mike and as far as how the temp of selenium affects the print, all i can say is that when i use it at room temp, i notice almost no affect whatsoever, so i heat it to nearly a boil, and i notice a bit of a shift to a warmer tone..i am using it at about 1:12 dilution too...i don't know if that is considered strong or not...

Thanks marianne, when I use selenium on bromide papers it will start to get a purplish color I don't like.
Mike C.

I mix selenium at 1:4 and use it a room temperature. As Mike C. says, it does tend a little purplish. Maybe I'll try the hot method more diluted. I really like the print!

What a wonderful print, I am really trying to get a similar look with some still life I have been doing recently and I would be proud to get a print half as good as this. Lovely work and thanks for sharing it.

This is really beautiful Marianne -- I'm so inspired by your work!
