What a lovely image Ailsa. Probably one of the best of this sad old ruin that I have seen.

So, this is what you get up to with spare time on your hands ;-}

In a word - perfect! Wonderful composition, feelings of isolation and abandonment. It takes my breath away...

Another very strong photograph, Ailsa. I had to think about the amount of sky you've chosen to include, but I think it's just right in that it offers a sense of the vastness into which this once proud pier was boldly built.

Thank you everyone yet again!

John - I too thought about including so much sky, but in the end decided it was the best way to communicate the isolation of the pier's remains in the sea. I always enjoy reading your observations on the photographs posted in the gallery.
