Welsh Harp

Welsh Harp

The Welsh Harp reservoir is in north-west London, between the boroughs of Brent and Barnet. A relatively anonymous spot, the 110 acre reservoir isn't as popular as in its heyday in the late 19th century, yet it still has an air of mystery. These photographs are taken within the boundaries of this green bit of land.

This body of work is a work in progress. The project was initiated in June 2013 and is expected to finish in early 2014. Additional background information and photographs can be seen on my website: http://www.eriklovold.com/welsh-harp

Excellent series and seems an interesting place, with nice soft "English" light. Are the tents from campers, or homeless people?

Thank you, Tony. It is indeed an interesting place with a rich history. The tents are from homeless people. They are only a stone throw away from one of the busiest motorways in the capital.
