Wow, not what I thought it was. A couple of things come to mind:
1. What are the streaks in the sky? (scanner artifacts?)
2. The bottom third makes a really cool panoramic.
3. Any metaphor or story behind it? (spraying water into the air in a desert area could be considered a huge waste when soaker hose would be to prefer)
4. I like how crisp the appearance is, how well I think you used contrast to make this interesting.
Thanks for the comments Thomas and Dietmar.
The streaks are actually a processing artifact - I think I was a little too enthusiastic with the agitation (spinning Paterson-type tank). Arizona has a fair amount of agriculture for a desert region, I am interested in the water use in the desert in general and this is part of a very broad project on agriculture in the desert. I deliberately left a lot of sky - for me the cloudless sky is very indicative of this area and the desert in general.
I never thought to crop it as a panoramic-like print, that could be interesting.
Thanks for the comments,
Nick
