Been there, eaten that.
There was a program on PBS this past weekend about hotdog joints in the US; Georgia is home to two of the establishments that were profiled. The Varsity is one. The other is NuWay Weiners (since 1916) in Macon, about 90 miles south of Atlanta.
I will be headed home to Macon for my mother's 80th birthday later this month; and although I don't know that I'll make it to the Varsity, the NuWay (chili dogs) has been on my itinerary since the early planning stages.
