Taken on my way back to Austin, TX from Lubbock, TX.
This old weigh station looked interesting on the way too lubbock so I figured it'd be worth stopping on the way home.
There was alot of wind, a bunch of frost on the ground, and some wonderful light.
If you look real closely you can see the wind generators on the horizon line. There are hundreds of them.
Very nice, Matt. The angled board and similar shadow in the bottom right, the pole in the background just next to the building on the left, the little island of light on the open door... it's these well placed little details that make it for me.
Amazing, Matt! What a nicely designed frame. I just love the angles; there's a very tangible sense of depth and texture that I find impressive. Applause.
this is beautiful, and beautifully constructed
i really enjoy the repeating white of the background, on either side of
the building, and through the windows of the building. those bits of white
and the extreme foreground ( the planks ) just suck me right into your image.
and then ... the horizontal lines and everything else just frame the scale perfectly ..
(for me at least )
Thank you so much everyone.
This was one of those scenes I feared would have TOO much going on in it. But after sometime walking around and composing with the camera, it seemed to fall into place.
Again, really appreciate the kind words.
