Weegee Night at the Stampede

At least once a year I organize a Weegee night for our Large Format Users Group here in Calgary. This year it was at our Stampede.

I found that most people seemed glued to their cellphones while walking around the grounds. Either texting or talking, but certainly not paying any attention to either the people they were with or the people around them.

The last photo in the series is a "news" type of photo taken just after an accident with one of the rides.

Very...ahhh...tasteful, or tasty. Shouldn't you have shot this with a Graflex and a bloody great flashbulb?

Last time out I had the 4x5 and my potato masher flash. This time I decided to travel lighter. I figured the Rollei is about the same vintage and was used by press people so I wasn't cheating too much.
