Taken across from one of Calgary's ritzy hotels. This poor gentleman had downed a few to many and did a face plant just in front of this gal. Instead of just walking on she stopped and called 911. We stayed with her until the meat wagon came and carted him off.
I agree with you Colin, but there were two reasons I decided to go for the back shot. First it protected her identity and secondly I felt that a true Samaritan would not want to be acknowledged for their act of kindness, so this pose reflected that. But you are right for a true "news" shot you need to have the face. I got a shot of the passed out drunk guys face as well all crunched up in the wood chips, but out of respect, and yes even passed out drunks should be respected, I elected not to post it. Although is would be a "news" type shot.
And Wayne, no she did not know the guy, she was just about to get into her truck when he staggered down the street and tripped over the curb around the garden area. Sorry to disappoint you. She was truly a nice and caring person.
