Thanks. I have a series of six images from this sequence that make me laugh. The weatherman actually sneaked up and planted a big kiss on the priest's cheek, which is what caused the initial response. Father Shawn laughed for a long, long time.
This is one of those shots that make up for the hours of standing around with the camera in your hand waiting for something "good" to happen. Settling for shots that kinda look good, just to get something on film...And you've got six?!
Her expression (with the kiss) and Father Shawn's are what spark the memories that wedding photos are meant for. Well done...
Gorgeous!!! You capture the spirit everytime. How do you do it? Please share. Do you just keep clicking or patiently wait for the moment?
Well done again Cheryl
Kind regards from West Oz

Nicole, I'm a firm believer in watching for the moment. When it's happening, I definitely will take more than one shot if there's time, but I dislike the idea of firing off shots continually just in case something happens. I think the key in photographing people candidly (or at least 'naturally') is in anticipating, rather than relying on reacting. In this case, I saw the troublemaking-weatherman coming in to crash the party, so I took a step back, gave myself a bit more DOF to work with, focused, and released the shutter when the time was right.
