Wearable Art #3 X-Ray film meets Caffenol

Earlier this year, a gallery owner had seen me give a demonstration of my B and J 8x10 with my improvised lenses and coffee printing. We struck up a conversation, and she invited me to take part in a Wearable Art fashion show. I set up my rig elbow to elbow with fashion photographers and hoped for the best. The exposures ran to several seconds, and with flashes going off all around me, it was very challenging to calculate with any accuracy.
Nonetheless, I had a blast, and actually came away with some good prints.

Thanks, John. As I said, I had a BLAST. I don't generally do people, but the models were all very professional, and everyone was so interested in my old film camera. I would do it again in a heartbeat, though next time I might use a lens with a shutter instead of the palm of my hand and maybe shoot at speeds that freeze the action.

Thanks for the comments. This was a great growing experience for me. I am actively looking for my next opportunity to try something like this again. (or something else that pushes me outside my comfort zone)

Outstanding Tom! I love how you keep pushing yourself, inspiring!
