Yes, excellent composition. I remember when the DC-4 was the "new" airliner, replacing the DC-3. Guess that makes me old; at least that's what my kids say.
 
Agreed w/ each. Tones are killer in the sky and the shadows. Its a shame they're so dang big - with good ones could rest easy in a museum for people to enjoy.
 
@Eric Rose I seek out these derelicts. For some reason I'm drawn to them -- and I'd not been out to shoot these before. Must go back! You should come down here -- there's a lot of stuff like this around.

@fdonadio Thanks. Yes, it's a really sad sight. These were once proud military aircraft.

@bsdunek I am not QUITE that old, but my family's been in aviation since the very beginning so I know all the stories.

@HiHoSilver These are, I'm afraid, too far gone to be museum birds. Maybe parts birds to support museum birds, but sadly not museum birds.
