Place is very much masonic temple . I liked the white triangles an black ground. I think I must change the scanner because it blurs left side , same at happens at the right side of the picture. I think you dont like high contrast and use HP5. I have a Rollei 35S with Sonnar 40 mm and I bet it takes the same. I like to play with exposure on www.picnik.com and its an excellent aid to me. I think zeiss gives a old newspaper expression on to pictures , at offset printing , you pour non stop water ink mix to the paper , if you mix too water strong , it blurs , lowers the contrast and gives a newspaper effect. This is before automatic sensors. Zeiss and Ilford gives me allways this impression and loss of punch. I like rotogravure , tiffdruck printing , alcohol replaced the water , evoprates fast and give sharper , high contrast image. And thedots engraved in cylinders and carry more ink and more contrast. Thats why I use kodak and leica because they go with prinnting friendly. I think zeiss wants alternative printing methods.

Best wishes and I loved the whole series.

Paul ,

I see what you mean , I think I am looking the picture from other perspective now . Istanbul and my cameras trained me to always high contrast. But when I was a student at Ankara 20 years ago , I was looking and loving the low contrast of concrete , architecture , glass mosaics too much.
You expressed yourself very clear and it made me to remember these days. I think if you like the light natural , you would like the Nordic designs and art glass also. Thank you reminding to me my young days. I think I am too much prepared minded for contrast.
Rollei Zeiss Triotar lenses are for natural greys and light and I was thinking to buy. Thank you. Umut

You know I like this one Paul, well done. I too rather like HP5, but have had little opportunity to use it much. Have a freezer full of other stuff. I agree that the tonal separation, micro contrast and texture on this one is very good.
