Taken 2 weeks ago at the time of my visit to the Ansel Adams exhibition at the City Art Centre, Edinburgh, I was struck by the architecture of the old station, the surrounding buildings and the work of Adams. Still admired and totally relevant today, but probably never to be repeated!
I was a bit disappointed in the Ansel Adams exhibition. Not in the images themselves but in the fact that the light level was so low (to ensure no degradation of the prints) that it was difficult to see properly or appreciate the range of tones in the prints. It felt like dusk inside the gallery!
The City Art Centre showed the Steve McCurry exhibition last year in similar conditions which was equally frustrating...!
