They could almost be "of the era" pre the change to the nomenclature of "Home Guard"except for their size. In their case rationing has clearly not taken its toll🙂

My thoughts exactly. At the conclusion of the battle they were running about brandishing pistols. It all seemed a bit surreal.
 
I think this is an illustration of the term "puffed up"! The man in the back, however, is not impressed. This is a good moment, and a well made print.

PS. They almost look like brothers!
