This was shot as a possible magazine cover. The model was a stained glass artist who hoped to get a write-up in the magazine about her work. This was shot using "hot" lights, fresnels, like the classic Hollywood portraits of the 1940's.
Very attractive model in an appealing pose. A couple of nits, especially vis a vis the evocation of a '40s style: her nose needs to be powdered, the highlights on her lips are brighter and in better focus than the catchlights in her eyes which should be sharper. If her head were raised half a degree (or the main light lowered the same amount) her brow shadow would fall above her pupils which would be more attractive, I think.
I like the soft image but don't particularly like the pose- the head tilted forward in particular--not that I can do better nor do I suggest that but I'm sure that's not the only shot to choose from--I just don't care for that particular pose !! It's too--too--too POSED!!
It's Margo Lane and 'The Shadow" is behind her right shoulder.
Nice effect. Reminds me of my Pulp magazines. No I'm not that old! The necklace is abit of a distraction.
