The first impression is that this walnut grove is full of pictures as well as trees! However isolating a scene to meticulously exclude distractions is less than easy.
Here I used a Cooke PS945 which was kindly on loan from them for my week in Tuscany. It is an amazing lens - I found that I had to set aperture and hence softness intuitively by studying the ground glass screen. Interestingly I let David Ward have a go and he set the Aperture exactly the same as me. It just felt right for this shot (f8) each scene seemed to have a sweet spot. The ability to get conventional performance when stopped down below f16 makes it very versaile indeed. See "Nature's theatre" for it being used at f32.
Front drop, Rear Rise, Front and Rear tilt too!
