Hey Shawn, was this from your last trip to Harrisburg? When were you there? I think we both took photos from the same parking lot on City Island. I was there a few months back. This is a very photogenic place. I love the branch in the foreground and the silky water from long exposure. Well done!

hi shawn

i love stone block piers.
they have a smooth feel to them accentuated
by their deep shadow and the abstract reflection of the bridge.

what a beautiful photograph.

Shawn:

i love the odd sense of balance you have achieved here. The heavy tonality on the left placed against the lighter more etherial left. the same could be said for the bottom and top respectively.

Not to mention the exploding tonality.

Great composition and tonality "as usual". The water and reflections are very nice.

Thanks fellows.

Brian, I was there in January on my way to the Project Basho Onward show. I've been there a couple times now and the City Island and surronding banks are among my favorite areas to photograph. I'll be in touch next time I return.
John, they have a very unique look on the print itself. Definitely part of my attraction.
Chris, I'm always looking for new ways to achieve balance with tension... sometimes it actually works!
Bert, =) Your consistency is something I aspire to.
