Took this a little while back. The print itself is one of my favorites. I've always loved textures, sometimes to the point of monotony. The people I've shown this print to don't seem to care for it very much. Oh well, I like it ;)
I really like this. I used to say that one couldn't tell an 8x10 from a Minox on the web, but not anymore. This is sooo rich with detail. And the 'lines' of the composition are subtle and intersting. Well done!
Boy would I love to see this print! Outstanding composition.
Can I ask you which dilution you use Ansco 130 at? Your filtration is quite interesting too.

Well I guess I'm the lone wolf again. I believe there is a great shot in this photo but not everything in it as a whole. I find the bottom 1/3 just where the white lines come together is a starting point for the top. then the balance of the print down. I would have love to use my 8x20 and do this photo.
Thomas, I use the standard 1:1 dilution for ansco mostly. I've used it undiluted before, along with a water bath to fiddle with contrast with pretty good results actually. As for the filtration method I used; it's from a local asheville brewery who makes some really excellent scottish ale and mocha stouts.
Thanks for the reply. I normally use it 1:3 which gives me slightly warmer tones. I doubt it would last three months, though...
I'll bet your filters wear out pretty quickly, then? I find that I have to replenish my filters quite often, driving the cost of this hobby way up...
